Since the beginning of the year, the Russian army has 'dropped' almost 70 aerial bombs on its own territories

Eight of them — just in the last ten days

Sources of ASTRA* in the operational services of border and occupied regions reported that since April 21, Russian planes have dropped eight FABs over their territory.

On April 21, FABs were found near the village of Kalinino in the Yakovlevsky district of the Belgorod region and near the occupied village of Rozovka in the Shakhtyorsky district of the Donetsk region.

On April 23, three FABs fell near the occupied village of Avilovka in the Donetsk region. On April 24, a FAB-250 fell from a Russian plane in the occupied Makeevka of the Donetsk region. On the same day, a Russian aerial bomb was found near the village of Verkhneberezovo in the Shebekinsky district of the Belgorod region. And on April 29, near the settlement of Tomarovka in the Yakovlevsky district in the same region. In all eight cases, the shells did not explode, and no one was injured.

Earlier, ASTRA wrote about an 'unplanned release of ammunition' on the village of Tsibulevka on April 9, which resulted in damage to eight houses. The day before, on April 8, a FAB aerial bomb fell right in front of the car of a 36-year-old resident of the Belgorod region, and he received multiple shrapnel wounds. The authorities either hide these facts or blame the shelling on the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the publication, since the beginning of the year, at least 69 aerial bombs (62 FABs and 7 UMPBs) and three missiles have fallen from Russian planes in Russia and on territories occupied by Russia in Ukraine. Last year, 165 cases were recorded.

The Russian army began equipping Soviet FAB aerial bombs with UMPK systems to combat air defense. After such an upgrade, FABs acquire wings and satellite guidance, allowing bombs to be launched directly from Russian territory. However, due to the imperfection of the system, aerial bombs do not always reach their targets and fall on Russian and occupied territories.
