Muscovites and residents of the region have been complaining about problems with mobile communication and the internet almost since the morning. Users of major operators report a complete lack of network. RIA «Novosti», citing the press service of «Beeline», reported that communication disruptions in Moscow are observed «for reasons beyond the operator's control». A similar message was later released by «Megafon».
A few hours after the start of communication disruptions, the Unified Emergency Warning and Elimination Service explained in an SMS distribution to cellular users the reasons for the lack of internet: «From May 5 to 9, 2025, there will be interruptions in mobile data transmission (mobile internet) to ensure security in connection with the preparation and conduct of the Victory Parade celebration in Moscow».
Today, rehearsals for the Victory Parade on May 9 are being held in the capital.
Meanwhile, morning performances are being held in kindergartens across the country, where children reenact war episodes. As noted by «Verstka»*, in Yekaterinburg kindergarten No. 46, children performed a scene in which a woman receives a triangular «death notice» letter with news about her son. The girl playing the mother of a soldier drops the letter, grabs her head, and falls to the floor — at this time, other children surround her and place two carnations on her. In the «Olenyonok» kindergarten in the Arkhangelsk region, children portrayed a nurse and a soldier with a bullet wound to the head.
Morning performances were also held in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. For instance, in Mariupol, in the «Rucheek» kindergarten, children marched with Russian flags, and in Donetsk, children from kindergarten No. 304 were photographed in military uniforms in a military truck made of cardboard.
Some kindergartens held events where children aged three to seven modeled different situations at the front. In the Pachinsky kindergarten in the Kemerovo region, girls in military uniforms aimed at the «enemy» with toy pistols in their hands.
