In this list of the world's 500 richest people, there are 22 Russians. Among Russian businessmen, the president of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, earned the most this year — he is ranked 58th with a fortune of $31.7 billion, which increased by $3.82 billion.

Next is Alisher Usmanov — ranked 134th with a fortune of $16.9 billion (an increase of $3.7 billion). Pavel Durov, with $13 billion, increased his wealth by $2.3 billion and is ranked 199th. Suleyman Kerimov, who increased his wealth by $3 billion, is ranked 312th with a fortune of $10 billion.

However, not all Russian billionaires managed to increase their wealth, with some experiencing losses this year. The owner of the Monaco football club, Dmitry Rybolovlev, lost $1.77 billion, the owner of the Novolipetsk Steel Company, Vladimir Lisin — $1.62 billion, and banker Mikhail Fridman — $1.03 billion.

The top three billionaires are Elon Musk with a fortune of $379 billion, Mark Zuckerberg with a fortune of $229 billion, and Jeff Bezos — with $226 billion. Only Zuckerberg increased his wealth by $21.4 billion, while Musk and Bezos lost $53.8 billion and $12.3 billion respectively this year.
