All four drivers who were operating Timofeev's vehicles at the time of the attacks have been detained

UPD: The administration of Ust-Kut deleted the post about the search for the native of Ukraine, Artem Timofeev, who is allegedly involved in the drone attack on a military airfield in the Irkutsk region

As discovered by ASTRA, the attacks carried out on June 1 on four military airfields in the Irkutsk, Murmansk, Ryazan, and Ivanovo regions were executed by drones hidden in modular houses on Scania trucks, all registered to one person — 37-year-old resident of the Chelyabinsk region, Artem Timofeev.

According to the administration of the city of Ust-Kut in the Irkutsk region, Timofeev has been declared wanted. “Law enforcement agencies are searching for Artem Valeryevich Timofeev, born 08(06).12.1987, a native of Donetsk, possibly involved in the drone attack on the military airfield ‘Belaya’ on 1.06.2025,” the publication states.

According to data leaks, Timofeev holds Russian citizenship and recently resided in Miass, Chelyabinsk region. He was born in Zhytomyr (Ukrainian SSR) and was registered in Kyiv on Prirechnaya Street until March 2018. Previously, the man repeatedly violated traffic rules using the same Scania trucks involved in the attack on Russian military bases.

In Timofeev's social network profile on ‘VK’, the last publication dates back to January 2021, noted ASTRA. Most of the man's friends on this social network are residents of Kyiv.

All the truck drivers who operated Timofeev's vehicles on the day of the attacks are now detained, the publication claims. In the Ryazan region, the truck was driven by 47-year-old Sergey Kanurin, in the Ivanovo region — 56-year-old Mikhail Ryumin, in the Murmansk region — 56-year-old Alexander Zaitsev, in the Irkutsk region — 62-year-old Andrey Merkuryev.

As previously reported by the SBU, initially FPV drones were transported to Russia, followed by mobile wooden containers. Later, on Russian territory, the drones were hidden under the roofs of containers already placed on trucks. At the right moment, the lids opened remotely, and the drones attacked Russian bombers.

On June 1, Ukrainian drones hit the ‘Olenya’ military airfield in the Murmansk region, the ‘Belaya’ airfield in the Irkutsk region, the ‘Dyagilevo’ airfield in the Ryazan region, and the ‘Severny’ airfield in the Ivanovo region.

Ukraine claims that during the operation, 41 Russian strategic aviation aircraft were hit. OSINT channels confirm the destruction or damage of 13 aircraft.
