The 2nd Eastern District Military Court extended the sentence of already convicted Krasnoyarsk resident Dmitry Taygin due to conversations in the colony about «Azov», accusing him of «terrorism propaganda» and «participation in a terrorist organization», the court's press service reported.
According to the investigation, Taygin «during conversations with inmates declared the ideology of the „Azov“ organization as correct and the necessity to follow the example of its members, offering monetary rewards for personally participating in the activities of the „Azov“ organization».
The 46-year-old Taygin, born in the Krasnoyarsk region, was serving a sentence in his region for a murder case, sentenced in 2017. In April 2025, he was sentenced again for conversations, charged with «terrorism propaganda», and in August — for «participation in a terrorist organization».
Considering all sentences, the Siberian was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment, of which the first three he must spend in prison, and the subsequent — in a strict regime colony.
