In the Tambov region, the owners of a mobile operator are being demanded to be recognized as an "extremist community," while corruption was found in the Sverdlovsk region

The Prosecutor General's Office is seeking to transfer the large mobile operator in the Tambov region, LLC "Lanta," to state revenue, writes "Kommersant." According to the agency, its owners Alexander Zaitsev and Alexander Vasiliev "support, including financially, Ukrainian armed and terrorist formations, and use the park-hotel "Berendey" for money laundering." Prosecutors insist on recognizing the figures as extremists and confiscating all their assets, including business and real estate, as they may be used against Russia.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, Zaitsev and Vasiliev have been the owners of the large mobile operator in the Tambov region, LLC "Lanta," specializing in telecommunications activities since 2009. The company's annual revenue exceeds 1.1 billion rubles.

In 2017, the Zaitsevs moved to Bulgaria and transferred LLC "Lanta" to the management of their partner Vasiliev, who "continues to ensure the enterprise's activities and the use of its assets in the interests of the extremist association."

The Prosecutor General's Office also filed a lawsuit in the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg to transfer the company "Oblkommunenergo" and assets related to the group "STS Corporation," controlled by businessmen Artem Bikov and Alexey Bobrov, to the state, reported TASS.

The investigation believes that former advisor to the head of RAO "UES" Anatoly Chubais, Bikov, and his partner Bobrov acquired assets thanks to "informal connections" with federal and regional officials, including Chubais, as well as former ministers of the Sverdlovsk region Alexey Pyankov and Nikolay Smirnov. They are also defendants in the lawsuit, as is the vice-governor of the region Oleg Chemezov.

Moreover, according to the Prosecutor General's Office, the income from the sale of communal resources was withdrawn through the "Agropromcredit" bank to accounts in Austria and Switzerland, with the total amount withdrawn exceeding 12 billion rubles.
