The Prosecutor General's Office demanded to transfer to the state income the real estate owned by the former State Secretary of Dagestan Magomed-Sultan Magomedov and 16 of his close relatives, writes 'Kommersant'.

The supervisory agency valued the property, located in the republic, Stavropol Territory, as well as in prestigious areas of Moscow, at 500 million rubles. These are dozens of land plots, residential and commercial real estate, and their total market value exceeds a billion rubles.

According to the publication, the real estate was at different times registered to Magomedov's wife Saniyat, their children Magomed, Savdat, Galimat, and Khapisat, as well as the husbands of the latter three — Navruzbek Mugadirov, Ullubiy Ismailov, and Magomed Alpanayev. In addition, part of the properties nominally belonged to Magomedov's brothers Ibragim, Magomedkamil, and Magomedmurat, as well as their wives Khadizhat and Mukminat. Another part of the properties was registered to Magomedov's sisters Rashiyakhanum and Maziyat, as well as the husband of the first — Magomed Gamidov.

Previously, Magomed-Sultan Magomedov had already had the assets of the former state enterprise 'Dagnefteprodukt', engaged in the transportation of oil through the Makhachkala seaport, confiscated.

The Prosecutor General's Office believes that Magomed-Sultan Magomedov, who headed the state enterprise 'Dagnefteprodukt' since 1991, went to work in government bodies in 1995 and violated the restrictions on engaging in commercial activities.

At the end of June, Dagestani publications reported on searches in Magomedov's mansion as part of a case on illegal privatization.

The 70-year-old Magomedov had been a deputy of the Dagestan parliament since 1995. In 2021, the new head of the republic, Sergey Melikov, appointed him as the State Secretary of Dagestan. On July 1 of this year, Magomedov was dismissed from the position of State Secretary 'due to loss of trust'.
