The United Kingdom updated the sanctions list against Russia by 90 positions, including "Rosneft" and "Lukoil"

2025.10.15

The restrictions also affected several Russian banks, Turkish and Chinese electronics suppliers, and a gas reception terminal in China

The United Kingdom updated the sanctions list against Russia, adding five individuals, 35 organizations, and 51 vessels. "Rosneft" and "Lukoil" were sanctioned. However, sanctions against the head of "Rosneft" Igor Sechin and the founder of "Lukoil" Vagit Alekperov have been in effect since spring 2022.

At different times, shadow fleet vessels associated with "Rosneft" were also sanctioned, but the company itself had not been included in the British list until now. In addition to the company itself, the list also included the Indian Nayara Energy, controlled by it, with a large refinery in Vadinar.

The updated list also includes Russian banks — PrimSocBank, TransStroyBank, BBR Bank, as well as the National Payment Card System.

The restrictions affected Turkish and Chinese electronics manufacturers and the Chinese National Pipeline Group Beihai Liquefied Natural Gas, which owns a terminal in Beihai receiving sanctioned Russian LNG.
