The political prisoner Alexei Gorinov was registered in the colony as "prone to arson" while he was in a hospital in Barnaul. He reported this through his lawyer, writes Gorinov's support group. He himself called such a decision "the price for treatment".
At the same time, Gorinov does not smoke and has no access to matches or other sources of fire, so if something happens to him, he did not set anything on fire and does not intend to.
This is already the fourth registration. Previously, he was recognized as "prone to escape", "prone to suicide and self-harm" and "prone to terrorist acts".
Gorinov is currently in a cell-type room. He notes that it is "warmer than in the punishment cell, and there are no mice". Earlier, after being transferred from the prison hospital to IK-10 in Rubtsovsk, he was almost immediately placed in the punishment cell. Formally, the period of stay in the punishment cell is up to 15 days, but he was repeatedly given new penalties, and as a result, he spent almost two months there, after which he was transferred to the cell-type room.
In May of this year, Gorinov was diagnosed with tuberculosis during the transfer.
In July 2022, the court sentenced Gorinov to seven years in the case of military "fakes". In November 2024, he was given an additional three years under the article on "justification of terrorism".
