Krieger has been on a hunger strike for 22 days, demanding a transfer to the general barrack, and since October 9, he has switched to a dry hunger strike

Actors Martin and Janet Sheen, John Cusack, as well as philosopher Slavoj Žižek addressed the head of IK-5 in the Oryol region, Maxim Prilepsky, reported by "Mediazona"* Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova*.

The signatories ask the colony administration to stop isolating Krieger in a solitary cell, allow him to serve his sentence among other prisoners, and grant permission for a visit with his daughter.

The Sheens, Cusack, and Žižek remind that Krieger has been on hunger strike since September 25, and has not been drinking water since October 9, reminding the colony head that "a dry hunger strike causes organ failure and quickly leads to shock and death."

Earlier, the vocalist of the American rock band Garbage, Shirley Manson, addressed a letter in support of Krieger.

As reported by Mikhail Krieger's support group citing the lawyer, on the 22nd day of the hunger strike, forced feeding has not been resorted to.

Mikhail Krieger has been in solitary confinement for the second day, but yesterday he was taken to the regional hospital's emergency room where tests were taken. The results are not disclosed to anyone. Forced feeding is not resorted to until Mikhail loses consciousness or doctors say the situation is critical.

Krieger declared a hunger strike demanding a transfer to the general barrack. The administration of IK-5 explains the need to keep Krieger in isolation with information about the threat to his life and health if he is kept with other prisoners.
