The escape of serviceman Alexey Kostrikin, suspected of murder and rape, was reported at a government meeting by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
«Late last night, the suspect in the crimes escaped from custody. Currently, law enforcement agencies are taking all necessary measures to locate and capture him. I understand that all measures are being taken, but I would like to once again ask to increase the number of personnel involved in this to ensure the quickest possible capture», — stated Gladkov, instructing to involve territorial defense and the voluntary people's militia in the search.
According to «Pepla», the serviceman escaped this night from the police station on Sumskaya Street in Belgorod.
On October 30, the Investigative Committee announced the detention of Private Alexey Kostrikin, who is suspected of murder and rape. However, according to «Pepla», other Russian servicemen were also involved in the crime. Later, Kostrikin was also charged with armed robbery.
